Minims (2021) is a multiplicity of small things. A poem about the building blocks of our environment and sensations. Just as reality is revealed to us in layers, the video is a collage of different recordings of small events, constructing a larger structure of everyday being. The piece is based on a 3D scan of the artist’s then studio space.

Leda Vaneva explores the processes of formation of the observable world, human perceptions and their limitations. Her pieces revolve around themes like materiality, hybridity, the connections between virtual and physical, natural and manufactured. She holds MA degrees in New Media (Aalto University, Helsinki) and Photography (National Art Academy, Sofia).
There are three steps to the media art space Mediabox, but the work is also available for viewing on a tablet by request.
