The video takes a studio in Cité des Arts in Paris as its starting point. The sunlight hit the wall of the studio each morning from seven to nine am. I traced the movement of light on the wall of the studio during four days in spring 2016.
Salla Myllylä lives and works in Helsinki. She graduated from Free Art School in 2009 and from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki in 2014. Her work moves between drawing, painting and moving images, and is always site specific. Myllylä’s works have been presented in exhibitions at e.g. Gallery Huuto Jätkäsaari in Helsinki (2015), Frankfurter Kunstverein (2014), Charlottenborg Kunsthal in Copenhagen (2017, 2012) and in festivals such Tampere Film Festival (2016), Japan Media Arts Festival (2016) and Minimalen Short Film Festival (2016) in Trondheim.
