Russian theatre director, activist, and coordinator of ‘Eve’s Ribs’ femnist art organization Vera Boitcova will talk about current social and political situation in Russia in regards to women’s rights, give overview of ‘Eve’s Ribs’ organization’s art projects and its contribution to the fight for gender equality, and present one of the key projects of the collective – ‘Fairytales for Girls’ – two published books of fairytales focusing on subversion of patriarchal gender norms in traditional folk narratives. At the end of the event there will be a performative reading of one of the tales.
The event is organized in connection with the COMPANIONS exhibition at Forum Box .
