Build miniature objects under the guidance of visual artist Zagros Manuchar

Welcome to explore the world of the Käpykolo book series and make miniature objects at Forum Box open art workshop!

At the art workshop, artist Zagros Manuchar takes participants to the world of the Käpykolo books. Käpykolo is a storybook series by Zagros Manuchar and author Leena Parkkinen that deals with mixed families, multiculturalism and ecological themes. The illustrated world of the book has been created in miniature size inside a 1960s television.

At the art workshop in Forum Box, participants get to make miniature objects. Zagros Manuchar introduces the world of the book and guides participants in making miniature books, earrings and suitcases and other objects suitable for the mini world.

The non-stop workshop is open to everyone and you can come and go during the workshop. There is room for 15 people to work at a time, new participants can join when space becomes available. The art workshop is suitable for all ages, small children can participate accompanied by an adult. The workshop is free of charge.

Zagros Manuchar (b. 1990) is an Iraqi-born filmmaker and artist who holds a master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in Finland, including the Nuoret 2023 exhibition at Kunsthalle Helsinki and the Määränpää 2024 exhibition in Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva. Manuchar’s artistic production can be seen at his Mediabox exhibition from 28 November to 28 December 2025.
