Ville Koskinen is a filmmaker and media artist who graduated as master of fine arts from the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki. Koskinen’s films bring forth something hidden or
overlooked — perhaps biology. What motivates Koskinen in his work is the shameless use of cinematic devices and a re-evaluation of the conventions between artist and viewer.
Koskinen is also one of the founding members of Elävän Kuvan Laboratorio, Helsinki-based film lab funded by Finnish Cultural Foundation.
